Erick Allen

Erick learned from his parents that faith without good deeds falls short. Erick’s father, a retired CME pastor, volunteered as a poll worker and helped register people of color to vote.  His mother was a beloved public school teacher for 30 years – shaping the hearts and minds of countless young people.  On weekends, Erick would join his grandmother to volunteer at the Red Cross and learned the value of public service.

In 2018, Cobb County voters sent Erick to the state Capitol to continue advocating for small business owners, working families and healthcare access. In addition, Erick has been an advocate for environmental justice and resisting Republican attempts to suppress voting for people of color.

Erick’s run for Lieutenant Governor in 2021 was a natural next step and raised many issues. Now, Erick continues to be a volunteer and activist. He knows the needs of Georgians are complex, nuanced, and individualistic, not a space for partisan games.

Nicole Horn

Nicole has been involved in her community for decades; from leading her children’s PTO to serving on nonprofit boards to working to improve public education in Georgia. She has phone banked, canvassed, and written postcards for national, state and local Democratic candidates. In 2016, she started an Indivisible chapter, named for our beloved Congressman, John Lewis.

Starting in 2002, Nicole and her husband built a business providing education to adult students through partnerships with non-profit schools across the country. This company became so successful it was bought in 2017, giving her more time to focus on politics.

In 2021, Nicole ran to be Georgia’s next Labor Commissioner and made it to the primary runoff. Her presence in the race helped raise the importance of providing childcare for working families, helping returning citizens find jobs, and ensuring all Georgians have equal job opportunities and an effective safety net when they need.
